Evesham Volunteer Centre works with other organisations through partnerships and collaborative projects.
We are part of a community transport consortium with other organisations in the county. We have a contractual agreement with Worcestershire County Council to run community transport services. Evesham Volunteer Centre provides the service in the Vale of Evesham area.
SWISH partners are four voluntary sector infrastructure organisations which share databases, undertake a joint training programme, and work together to deliver support services to voluntary and community organisations across South Worcestershire (in the Districts of Wychavon, Worcester City and Malvern Hills).
The Hub includes the county’s six accredited volunteer centres whose expertise in six core functions attains the national standards: Brokerage, Marketing volunteering, Good practice development, Developing volunteering opportunities, Policy response and campaigning, and Strategic development of volunteering.
This was a county-wide project funded by the Government’s Office for Civil Society to “transform local infrastructure”. Evesham Volunteer Centre was a partner in this “TLI partnership” of 11 organisations. Partners created a Worcestershire voluntary sector Marketplace with news and information about training, events and support available to groups in the county. Partners also created the Worcestershire Voices Forum, an online way of participating in discussions and shaping policy and practice in the county. We contribute to the newsfeeds of volunteering opportunities and events which appear in the left hand column of our webpages.
